Dr. Samantha Abair

Owner and Veterinarian

Dr. Samantha Abair was born in Upper Heyford, England on a military base where her father was a US Air Force pilot.  Her love of horses started at age three when she began riding at her grandmother’s farm. From that point on, when asked what she wanted to be when she grew up, her response was always “a horse veterinarian!”

As she grew up, Dr. Abair never wavered from her lifelong career goal. She took summer jobs at local veterinary clinics so she could learn the industry. She continued to ride, competing in various equine disciplines throughout high school and college. Samantha obtained her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. She then went on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA. After her formal education, Dr. Abair elected for an intensive year-long internship in surgery and internal medicine at West Coast Equine in Somis, CA.

Over the past decade Dr. Abair has worked in the greater Los Angeles area, establishing herself as a premier provider of equine medical care. Her conscientious approach to medicine, commitment to patients, friendly nature, and integrity have made her a favorite among many in the area.

Dr. Abair created Topline Equine Veterinary Inc. to further her capacity to provide excellent veterinary care. This independent practice serves the regions of the San Gabriel Valley, Pomona Valley, and northwest Riverside County.

Dr. Brenda Stadelmann

Veterinarian

Dr. Brenda Stadelmann started her love of horses at the age of 8 when she joined the Blue Shadows Mounted Drill Team. This laid the foundation to decades of riding and owning horses, which eventually led to discovering her passion in veterinary medicine.

After years of rigorous instruction, clinical experience, and volunteering, she earned an associate’s degree in Pre-Veterinary Medicine from Los Angeles Pierce College and a Bachelor of Science with a minor in Equine Medicine from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.

She decided she needed a change from sunny California and moved to Northeast Canada. There she earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from Atlantic Veterinary College on Prince Edward Island. Although she enjoyed her adventures up north, including learning how to drive through blizzards and taking walks on the frozen Atlantic Ocean, Dr. Stadelmann returned to Southern California to complete a year-long, surgery and internal medicine internship at West Coast Equine. Now an associate at Topline Equine Veterinary, she looks forward to continuing her veterinary career.

During her spare time you might find Dr. Stadelmann riding her horses Chica and Luna along the mountain trails or hiking with her family and their two dogs Zeke and Zoey.

Alex Richard

Registered Veterinary Technician

Alex was born and raised in Southern California.  Her deep love of animals started at an early age and eventually developed into the ultimate goal of becoming a registered veterinary technician (RVT). She started her career volunteering at animal shelters, cleaning stalls and working for local barns guiding trail rides. She continued this passion while in high school and after graduation attended a community college to temporarily follow her love of photography.  Alex has worked with Dr. Abair since 2016, developing a strong partnership that has contributed to her professional growth. She received her licensing as a Registered Veterinary Technician in 2021. She currently lives with her husband Jeremy, their kids Alistair and Lily, their dog Poppy, cat Sebastian and a whole bunch of chickens.

When she isn't working, you might find Alex at Knott's Berry Farm, at a hockey game, working on her urban homestead or just enjoying her family.

Bio coming soon...

As a kid growing up, Jen's goal was to be a large animal Veterinarian. Fast forward, she is enjoying her job as a technician. She has owned horses for over 20 years and has competed in Mounted Shooting, Team Roping, and is the annual Headless Horseman for the Chino Hills Fire Safety Counsel.

Jen has also owned and operated boarding facilities, where she provided western riding instruction, small venue clinics in horsemanship, and some overall family fun play days. Nowadays, you can find her on the trail with her mares enjoying the quieter side of equestrianism.

Born and raised in Pasadena, Ca, Audy's journey into the world of horses came a little later in life.  While living in Sonoma County, she somehow convinced the owner of a goat dairy to hire her, without any experience!  It was there that a spark of interest into veterinary medicine originated.  After frolicking with the goats, she stumbled into the horse world, but promptly found her passion, when she began volunteering at a therapeutic riding center.  There she learned the basics of horse handling, horse and rider safety, and above all, the powerful impact horses can have on human beings, and us on them.  Since then, Audy has worked with our equid friends in different capacities, however the most engaging and gratifying being veterinary medicine.  On days off, Audy looks forward to spending time with her wife Jessie and dog Banjo.
